3G customer offer:
This offer is for selected Optus Prepaid Mobile services that receive a promotional message from us. To be eligible for the recharge discount reward or recharge bonus data reward that is specified in our message, you must:
(1) Change your device: Obtain a compatible device which supports 4G VoLTE (including VoLTE emergency calling), can access the 4G 700MHz spectrum band and is compatible with the Optus mobile network. For more information see, on how you can do this, see Important Changes to 3G | Optus.
(2) Insert SIM into new device: Once you have obtained a compatible mobile device, remove your existing Optus Prepaid SIM from your old device and insert it into your new device by the offer end date. If you need to replace your SIM card, you’ll need to visit your local Optus retail store and bring 100 points of ID (e.g. drivers licence, passport, or proof of age card). See

(3) Use your new device on the Optus mobile network: You can do this by accessing data, or making/receiving calls on the Optus mobile network. We recommend doing this for at least 7 days after changing your device and without accessing Wi-Fi to ensure we can detect your connection to the network. Excludes SMS/MMS and Wifi-calling;
(4) Recharge with an eligible amount: Once we’ve detected your connection to the network using a compatible mobile device, we’ll send you an SMS to confirm that the recharge discount reward or recharge bonus data reward specified in our message is available to claim. You’ll need to do this by recharging with an eligible amount on your current plan by the offer the end date specified in the confirmation SMS. This SMS may be sent up to 14 days after we detect your connection to the network. If you change your number or your plan during the offer period, you’ll no longer be eligible for the offer.

Recharge Discount: You'll automatically get your discount when you recharge (excludes recharge vouchers) with an eligible amount prior to the offer end date. Unless otherwise specified in the message from us, recharge channels include My Optus app, online at optus.com.au/recharge, 555 IVR (using pre-stored credit or debit card details only) and 9999 SMS. Any extra costs associated with payments (for example, any fees issued by your bank) are not included.
Extra Data: Extra Data will be included in your MyData balance provided you recharge with an eligible amount prior to the offer end date. May take up to 72 hours to be added to your account. All for use within Australia. Extra Data expires as per your standard recharge expiry but is eligible for rollover when you recharge before expiry or maintain an active AutoRecharge. Maximum data rollover limits apply and will vary depending on your plan (e.g. 50GB for Epic Value, 200GB for Epic Data, 200GB for Flex Plus, 15GB for My Prepaid Ultimate, and 10GB for Prepaid Ultimate Plus). Any data accumulated over these limits will be forfeited. Usage is counted in 1KB increments.
